Anheuser-Busch Acquires Four Peaks Brewing Company

Anheuser-Busch announced an agreement to acquire Four Peaks Brewing Company, a leading craft brewery based in Tempe, Arizona, to join its The High End craft business unit. The deal brings Four Peaks' brewpubs and statewide distribution into Anheuser-Busch's craft portfolio; terms were not disclosed and the acquisition was expected to close in early 2016.

Sapporo Holdings Acquires Anchor Brewing Company

Sapporo Holdings Limited will acquire all equity interest in Anchor Brewing Company from parent Anchor Brewers & Distillers, LLC for $85 million, in a deal expected to close on August 31, 2017. Sapporo said the acquisition supports its "SPEED 150" plan to expand its North American beer business and will keep brewing operations in San Francisco while leveraging Sapporo's global distribution to grow Anchor internationally.
