Tilray Brands Acquires Eight Beer and Beverage Brands from Anheuser‑Busch

Tilray Brands, Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire eight beer and beverage brands (including associated employees, breweries and brewpubs) from Anheuser‑Busch. The deal covers Shock Top, Breckenridge Brewery, Blue Point, 10 Barrel, Redhook, Widmer Brothers, Square Mile Cider Company and HiBall Energy and is expected to close in 2023, significantly expanding Tilray’s U.S. beverage footprint and production capacity.

Suffolk-based St Peter's Brewery has acquired Curious Brewery, and through that purchase has also taken control of the Wild Beer Co brands that Curious acquired out of administration. Curious had been owned by Luke Johnson’s private equity firm Risk Capital Partners since 2021; the deal is reported to have been made by the investor group that acquired St Peter’s in 2021.
