Behrman Capital Acquires Shur-Co

Behrman Capital, a New York-based private equity firm, has acquired Shur-Co, LLC, a Yankton, South Dakota-based manufacturer of cargo covering and cargo control systems. Shur-Co—previously a subsidiary of PCM Companies (PCMC)—will continue to be led by CEO Terry Tennant and will partner with Behrman to accelerate its growth and product development across agriculture, construction, waste and rail end markets.

Shur-Co, a portfolio company of Behrman Capital, has acquired AB Airbags, a Carlsbad, California–based supplier of dunnage airbags, accessory tools and cargo securement solutions. The deal expands Shur-Co’s protective packaging and cargo control product offering and distribution footprint; financial terms were not disclosed and Mesirow served as exclusive sell-side advisor to AB Airbags.

Continuim Equity Partners Acquires Merlot Vango Tarping Solutions

Continuim plans to implement its operational playbook to increase production capacity, drive product innovation, and pursue strategic add-ons to expand Merlot's service and installation footprint.

Impact Environmental Group Acquires The Tarp Depot

Impact Environmental Group (IEG), an Elgin, Illinois–based environmental products platform, has acquired The Tarp Depot, a manufacturer and distributor of spill containment, dewatering products and transportation tarps headquartered in Pasadena, Texas. The acquisition expands IEG's tarp and tarping systems capabilities (complementing its 2022 Deroche Canvas deal), extends its geographic footprint and provides cross-selling opportunities into IEG's national customer channels.

Safe Fleet Acquires Merlot Vango Tarping Solutions

Safe Fleet, a portfolio company of Oak Hill Capital, has acquired Merlot Vango Tarping Solutions, a designer and manufacturer of rolling tarpaulin systems for flatbed and platform trailers. The deal brings Merlot's Vango rolling tarp systems, installation and aftermarket service capabilities into Safe Fleet's Commercial Vehicle Group as an add-on to expand its tarp system product portfolio and geographic reach; Merlot will continue to be led by its existing management team in Verona, Pennsylvania.

ScaleCo/Innoplast Acquires Shur-Tite Products

ScaleCo Capital’s platform Innoplast Holdings has acquired Shur-Tite Products, a Gainesville, Texas-based manufacturer and distributor of highway and pedestrian safety products. The transaction is Innoplast’s second add-on under ScaleCo and expands the platform’s product offerings into the DOT/roadway safety space; Shur-Tite will continue to operate from Gainesville.
