Alta Equipment Group Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Hilo Equipment & Services, a privately held material handling equipment distributor with three branches in the New York City metro area. Hilo generated approximately $50 million in revenue and $3.0 million of Adjusted EBITDA in FY2019; the acquisition expands Alta's footprint in the northeastern United States and strengthens its OEM partnerships and service capabilities.

Bailey Equipment & Intralogistics, a third-generation family-owned forklift dealership headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, has acquired Equipment Depot’s Washington state operations and will establish a regional headquarters in Kent, Washington. Bailey will serve as the authorized Logisnext dealer in Washington for Cat Lift Trucks, Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks, and Jungheinrich, expanding its material handling, warehouse solutions, and intralogistics services into the Washington market.

Howell Tractor, which operates facilities in Gary, Indiana and Peru, Illinois, generated approximately $33.1 million in revenue and $5.0 million of adjusted EBITDA in the trailing twelve months through July 2020; the deal expands Alta's presence in the Illinois/Northwest Indiana construction market.

Alta Equipment Group Acquires Burris Equipment Co.

Alta Equipment Group has agreed to acquire Burris Equipment Co., a three-location construction and turf equipment dealer and rental business based in Waukegan, Illinois, for $14.0 million in cash. The deal — expected to close in Q4 2023 — expands Alta's presence in the Chicago market, adds rental fleet capacity and OEM relationships, and preserves Burris's brand while the selling owners retire.
