VetCor, a PE-backed operator of veterinary practices (portfolio company of funds managed by Harvest Partners and Cressey & Company), has acquired People, Pets & Vets (PPV), a veterinarian-led network of more than 150 animal hospitals across the western and southern United States. The deal expands VetCor's national footprint and combines two multi-location veterinary operators to broaden clinical resources, support services and career opportunities for veterinary teams.

EQT to Acquire VetPartners from National Veterinary Associates

EQT has agreed to acquire VetPartners, the largest provider of veterinary and animal health services in Australia and New Zealand, from National Veterinary Associates. VetPartners operates a network of 267 clinics and specialty hospitals with over 4,300 clinical and support staff; EQT says it will invest in diagnostic equipment, technology, recruitment and training to support continued growth and improved clinical outcomes. The transaction is subject to customary approvals and is expected to close around the end of the calendar year.

AmeriVet Veterinary Partners Acquires Northeast Veterinary Partners

AmeriVet Veterinary Partners (San Antonio, TX) acquired 14 veterinary practices from Northeast Veterinary Partners in a buyout announced October 11, 2022, marking the first time AmeriVet has purchased another veterinary consolidator. The deal expands AmeriVet’s clinic network (bringing it to about 186 clinics at the time) and adds locations across New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, California and Maine as part of its ongoing consolidation and network expansion strategy.

Align Capital Partners Majority Recapitalizes Custom Veterinary Services

Align Capital Partners (ACP) has completed a majority recapitalization of Custom Veterinary Services (CVS), a Miami-based contract manufacturer and custom formulator of nutritional, dermatological, and grooming products for companion animals. As part of the transaction, industry executive Worth Turner joined CVS as a shareholder and CEO to help scale operations, while founder Ruben Martinez and family remain involved; ACP intends to provide capital and growth expertise to expand the company's manufacturing and R&D capabilities.
