AAR to Acquire 65% Controlling Interest in MRO Holdings

AAR entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a 65% controlling interest in MRO Holdings at an implied enterprise value of $4.0 billion, while MRO Holdings’ existing owners will retain a minority stake and AAR will have options to acquire the remaining interest. The acquisition is expected to add substantial aircraft heavy-maintenance capacity and expand AAR’s aviation aftermarket platform; closing is expected in AAR’s fiscal third quarter ending February 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and customary conditions.

The Blackhawk Group Acquires Glendale Aero Services' MRO Business

The Blackhawk Group, a portfolio company of New State Capital Partners, has acquired the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) business of Glendale Aero Services and will rebrand the operation as a Blackhawk Performance Center (BPC-Glendale). The acquisition expands The Blackhawk Group’s Performance Center network and adds specialized Cirrus SR/Vision Jet and Cessna MRO, CAPS and avionics capabilities; Glendale’s Director of Maintenance, John Fisher, will remain in place. Terms were not disclosed.

NVM Private Equity Acquires MRO Plus Solutions Group from Cairngorm Capital

NVM Private Equity has acquired MRO Plus Solutions Group Limited (MRO+), a UK-based specialist distributor of critical industrial components, from Cairngorm Capital Partners. The deal (structured as an MBO supported by NVM) will provide capital to support MRO+'s continued organic growth and acquisitive strategy; the business has grown to more than 90 employees and delivered record trading in 2023 under Cairngorm's ownership.
