Betterment has acquired Rowboat Advisors, a portfolio management software provider specializing in direct indexing, tax optimization, and personalized investing. The deal will integrate Rowboat’s technology into Betterment Advisor Solutions to accelerate capability delivery for RIAs, with full integration beginning in the second half of 2025 and direct indexing planned for 2026.
