BMR Suspension, a performance automotive suspension and chassis parts manufacturer based in Florida, has acquired Heidts Suspension, a musclecar and hot-rod suspension parts manufacturer based in Lake Zurich, Illinois. The companies will continue to operate independently while collaborating on new product lines; financial terms were not disclosed.

Burnout Brands Acquires Brian Tooley Racing

Burnout Brands, a performance automotive platform and portfolio company of Hidden Harbor Capital Partners, has acquired Brian Tooley Racing, a Kentucky-based manufacturer of high-performance camshafts, valvetrain components and intake manifold engineering. The acquisition brings BTR into Burnout Brands' portfolio (which includes Monster Transmission, BD Diesel and D&J Precision Machine) to expand product development, manufacturing capabilities and aftermarket market reach.

Yamaha Motor Acquires Brose's e-Kit Bicycle Drive Unit Business Subsidiary

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has signed an agreement to acquire Brose's bicycle drive unit (e-Kit) business subsidiary, with completion subject to regulatory clearances and expected by June 2025. Yamaha will operate the acquired business through a newly established German entity, Yamaha Motor eBike Systems (YMESG), to build a European development base, expand market presence and strengthen after-sales service using Brose's network.

Apollo Funds to Acquire Tenneco in $7.1 Billion All-Cash Deal

Tenneco entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by funds managed by affiliates of Apollo for an all-cash enterprise value of approximately $7.1 billion, including debt. The deal values Tenneco at $20.00 per share and is expected to close in the second half of 2022, subject to customary conditions including shareholder and regulatory approvals.

The purchases expand Holley’s performance aftermarket product portfolio across suspension, braking, truck appearance and wheel categories to broaden capabilities and address new enthusiast end-markets.

BRS & Co. Acquires Tolemar, LLC

BRS & Co., a New York-based private equity firm, has acquired Tolemar, LLC, a Huntington Beach, California-based manufacturer and supplier of branded and private-label accessories for UTVs, ATVs and motorcycles. The investment positions Tolemar to expand its product and distribution reach across direct-to-distributor and direct-to-consumer channels under brands including Trinity Racing, LA Choppers and Baron Custom Accessories.
