Commercial Bakeries Corp., a Graham Partners–backed private label cookie and cracker manufacturer, has acquired Hollandia Bakeries Ltd. and The Good Food Company Inc., adding a Mount Brydges, Ontario baking facility and additional cookie manufacturing and packaging capabilities. The transaction is an add-on to Commercial Bakeries’ platform, intended to expand manufacturing capacity and capabilities in the North American private-label cookie market.

Biscuit International Acquires Continental Bakeries

Biscuit International, a Platinum Equity-backed European private‑label biscuit manufacturer, has agreed to acquire Continental Bakeries from its majority shareholder Goldman Sachs Asset Management. The deal brings Continental’s 13 production facilities and more than 2,300 employees into Biscuit International, strengthening the combined group's product portfolio and pan‑European footprint; completion was anticipated in H1 2022 subject to customary approvals.

Wholebake (Elysian Capital III) Acquires Deeside Cereals I Limited

Elysian Capital III LP’s portfolio company Wholebake Limited has acquired Deeside Cereals I Limited from Agrotech Impex PTE Limited. The deal is the first add-on to Wholebake since Elysian’s acquisition of the business and combines two North Wales manufacturers to create a larger contract manufacturer of cereal and snack bar products for retail customers.

CTH (Ferrero-related Company) Acquires Burton's Biscuit Company from Ontario Teachers'

A Ferrero-related Belgian holding company (CTH) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Burton's Biscuit Company from the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board. Burton's—headquartered in St Albans with six UK manufacturing sites and about 2,000 employees—generated over £275 million of sales in the last 12 months; the buyer expects to enlarge its sweet biscuits offering by adding Burton's brands and production capacity.

Endless Acquires Hovis

Endless has acquired Hovis, the 134-year-old UK bakery brand, in a deal funded from Endless Fund IV for an undisclosed price. Hovis — headquartered in High Wycombe and employing about 2,700 people across eight bakery sites and a flour mill — will receive further investment to upgrade infrastructure, grow its branded range and capture additional share of the UK bakery market.

Platinum Equity Acquires Biscuit International

Biscuit International employs approximately 1,900 people, generated more than €500m in sales over the prior 12 months, and Platinum Equity intends to expand the company’s product offering and international reach through organic growth and add-on acquisitions.
