Clarios Acquires Maxwell Technologies

Clarios has acquired Maxwell Technologies, a U.S.-based manufacturer of supercapacitor cells and modules, to strengthen its position in high-performance, short-duration energy storage solutions. Financial terms were not disclosed; Maxwell will operate as an independent U.S.-based business unit and the deal is intended to expand Clarios' supercapacitor capabilities, supply-chain resilience, and reach into non-automotive end markets such as data centers and grid applications.
