Bidgely Acquires Grid4C

The acquisition strengthens Bidgely’s grid-side and customer engagement offerings, enabling new use cases such as appliance fault prediction, granular load forecasting, and enhanced demand response and DER optimization for utilities.

Aspen Technology Acquires Open Grid Systems

Aspen Technology entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Open Grid Systems Limited, a provider of network model management technology for utilities. The integration is intended to expand AspenTech’s Digital Grid Management suite with model-driven capabilities to help utilities better manage and scale grid model data for transmission and distribution operations and resiliency, subject to regulatory approvals and expected to close before the end of 2024.

CleanSpark Acquires GRIID Infrastructure Inc.

CleanSpark, Inc. (Nasdaq: CLSK) completed its acquisition of GRIID Infrastructure Inc. (Nasdaq: GRDI) on October 30, 2024, in an all-stock merger following approval by GRIID stockholders. The deal expands CleanSpark's Bitcoin mining footprint and power diversity, enabling planned growth to over 400 MW of mining capacity in Tennessee and adding GRIID's team and existing sites to CleanSpark's operations.

Qualus Corporation Acquires GridBright

Qualus Corporation, a portfolio company of New Mountain Capital, has acquired GridBright, a Silicon Valley–area technology solutions firm specializing in grid integration software, systems integration, and advisory services. The deal (terms not disclosed) expands Qualus’ capabilities in grid modernization, resiliency, security, and renewable interconnection services; AEC Advisors advised Qualus and Capstone Partners advised GridBright.

Cubic Corporation Acquires GRIDSMART Technologies

Cubic Corporation acquired GRIDSMART Technologies, Inc. for approximately $87 million in cash to strengthen its Intelligent Traffic Management portfolio. GRIDSMART, based in Knoxville, Tennessee, provides single-camera video detection and analytics and was expected to contribute about $35 million in revenue and $8 million of adjusted EBITDA for full-year 2019.
