Coursera Acquires Udemy in $2.5 Billion All-Stock Merger

Coursera and Udemy signed a definitive all-stock merger agreement valued at about $2.5 billion to combine their online learning platforms into a larger skills and workforce development business aimed at the AI era. Coursera later announced the transaction closed on May 11, 2026, with Udemy delisted from NASDAQ and continuing shareholders receiving 0.800 shares of Coursera for each Udemy share.
