Meteor Education, a Saw Mill Capital portfolio company, acquired Premier Furniture + Equipment (Premier F+E), a Shell Rock, Iowa-based distributor of K-12 classroom furniture. The deal expands Meteor's footprint into the Heartland (adding Premier's presence across Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and South Dakota) and will keep Premier operating from its Shell Rock showroom while providing additional resources, tools and operational support.

Hudson Technologies Acquires USA Refrigerants

Hudson Technologies acquired USA United Suppliers of America Inc. (d/b/a USA Refrigerants) for $20.7 million, with up to $2.0 million in additional earnout consideration. USA Refrigerants is a national refrigerant distributor and longtime purchaser of recovered refrigerants; Hudson said the purchase will create a dedicated refrigerant acquisition group to expand its acquisition, reclamation and sales capabilities.

Housatonic Partners Invests in Brainfuse

Housatonic Partners has made a strategic growth investment in Brainfuse, a New York City–based provider of online tutoring, career counseling, and veterans assistance that serves public libraries, higher education institutions, and K‑12 school districts. Financial terms were not disclosed; Housatonic Managing Director Mark Hilderbrand joined Brainfuse's board as the firms partner to enhance the company's proprietary online learning platform and support growth.

H.I.G. Infrastructure Acquires North America Central School Bus

An affiliate of H.I.G. Capital's infrastructure arm has acquired North America Central School Bus (NAC), a Joliet, Illinois–based student transportation provider. The deal was an exit for prior sponsor Goldner Hawn LP; H.I.G. said it will support geographic expansion and a transition to next-generation (including electric) bus technology while management, led by CEO Steve Hemmerlein, remains in place.

Valley Equipment Ltd, a long-standing Canadian Utility dealer, has acquired Utility Trailers of New England, LLC, adding two locations in Seabrook, New Hampshire and North Oxford (Boston), Massachusetts to its network. The acquisition expands Valley Equipment's dealer and service footprint into the Northeastern United States and strengthens support for Utility Trailer and Cargobull North America products in the region.
