Wynnchurch Capital has acquired Insulation Corporation of America (ICA), an Allentown, Pennsylvania-based manufacturer of expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam products. ICA will be combined under a single platform with Wynnchurch portfolio companies Drew Foam Companies, Inc. and Huntington Foam, LLC to expand the platform’s geographic reach and product capabilities in the Northeast U.S.

SEI Group Acquires Pro Foam Insulators and Accu-coat Spray Products

SEI Group LLC, a portfolio company of Quad‑C Management, has acquired Pro Foam Insulators, Ltd. (Lufkin, TX) and Accu‑coat Spray Products, LLC (Maryville, TN / W. Jefferson, NC). The add‑on acquisitions expand SEI's installed insulation and specialty building products footprint in residential new construction and light commercial markets; terms were not disclosed.

Holcim Acquires SES Foam

Holcim has agreed to acquire SES Foam (SES Foam LLC), the largest independent spray-foam insulation company in the United States, expanding Holcim’s Solutions & Products roofing and insulation business. The deal, which closed July 29, 2022, was a sale by Tenex Capital Management and brings SES’s sustainable, bio-based spray-foam capabilities and ~USD 200m 2022 net sales into Holcim’s portfolio to support its Strategy 2025 growth objectives.

Foam Fabricators Acquires Substantially All Assets of Polyfoam Corp.

Foam Fabricators, a Compass Diversified Holdings-backed packaging platform, has acquired substantially all of the assets of Massachusetts-based Polyfoam Corp., expanding Foam Fabricators' protective and temperature-sensitive packaging capabilities and geographic footprint. The deal adds Polyfoam's cold-chain and injection-molded plastic capabilities and enables cross-selling to national customers while Foam Fabricators also announced a partnership with Rational Packaging and commercialization of a biodegradable EPS product.

Foam Holdings Inc., a portfolio company of Wynnchurch Capital, has acquired Fabricated Packaging Materials, Inc. (FPM), a Lancaster, Ohio-based manufacturer of block molded expanded polystyrene (EPS). The acquisition is an add-on to Foam Holdings' materials solutions platform intended to extend its footprint in core end-markets and enhance its EPS manufacturing and packaging capabilities.

The acquisition expands Altor's manufacturing footprint in the Northeast and strengthens its capabilities in protective and cold-chain packaging as part of a broader consolidation strategy.
