Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners has acquired PurposeEnergy, a US-based specialist in converting organic waste from food and beverage producers into biogas and renewable natural gas (RNG). The acquisition gives Quinbrook a platform to scale PurposeEnergy’s proven project development, construction and operations capabilities to meet growing demand for renewable fuels and waste-to-energy solutions.

The majority stake is being acquired from ECF’s founders and lead investor Piney Point Capital, both of which will remain as substantial minority shareholders and board members following the transaction.
