EQT X (part of EQT) will acquire a majority stake in Acronis, the cyber protection and data‑security software platform used by Managed Service Providers and corporate IT departments. Founders, management and existing investors including funds/accounts managed by CVC, Springcoast and BlackRock Private Equity Partners will remain significant minority shareholders; the deal values Acronis above its 2022 growth round and is expected to close in Q1–Q2 2025 pending regulatory approvals.

The deal (terms not disclosed) was advised by Auctus Capital Partners and involves 5nine, an Insight Venture Partners portfolio company, joining Acronis to accelerate product innovation and expand channel distribution.
