EQT Private Equity Makes ~USD 100M Growth Investment in CYE

EQT Private Equity, via its EQT Mid Market Europe fund, has agreed to make an approximately USD 100 million growth investment in Israel-based cybersecurity firm CYE (CYESEC). The founder and CEO Reuven Aronashvili will retain a significant share and continue to lead the company as the investment supports go-to-market and product investments, geographic expansion and consolidation efforts in the fragmented cybersecurity market.

EQT Acquires Majority Stake in Acronis

EQT X (part of EQT) will acquire a majority stake in Acronis, the cyber protection and data‑security software platform used by Managed Service Providers and corporate IT departments. Founders, management and existing investors including funds/accounts managed by CVC, Springcoast and BlackRock Private Equity Partners will remain significant minority shareholders; the deal values Acronis above its 2022 growth round and is expected to close in Q1–Q2 2025 pending regulatory approvals.

The trio serves over 200 enterprise and government customers and has seen combined revenue grow more than 35% over the past three years; the firms have been brought together as part of a broader consolidation in the New Zealand cybersecurity market.
