EQT Acquires Majority Stake in Acronis

EQT X (part of EQT) will acquire a majority stake in Acronis, the cyber protection and data‑security software platform used by Managed Service Providers and corporate IT departments. Founders, management and existing investors including funds/accounts managed by CVC, Springcoast and BlackRock Private Equity Partners will remain significant minority shareholders; the deal values Acronis above its 2022 growth round and is expected to close in Q1–Q2 2025 pending regulatory approvals.

Acronis Acquires Synapsys to Establish Permanent Presence in Africa

Acronis, the Schaffhausen-based cyber protection company, acquired Synapsys, a Cape Town channel-centric distributor and MSP services group, to provide direct access to Acronis cyber protection solutions across Africa. The deal gives Acronis a permanent in-country presence and brings Synapsys' partner network and local team into Acronis' Global/Local initiative to expand cloud and managed services adoption on the continent.

The acquisition integrates Acqueon's proactive, AI-powered outreach capabilities into Five9's Intelligent CX Platform to expand outbound solutions, enhance journey orchestration, and strengthen AI-driven customer engagement across financial services, healthcare, government and retail customers.

LookingGlass Cyber Solutions Acquires Next5
