Carlyle Acquires Data Center Provider Involta

Funds managed by global investment firm Carlyle have acquired Involta, a Cedar Rapids-based hybrid IT, cloud and data center services provider, from private equity firm M/C Partners. The acquisition (which closed in early 2022) gives Carlyle control of Involta's 12 data center facilities and 12,000+ fiber-mile network and is intended to accelerate geographic and capability expansion across hybrid cloud, edge and fiber services.

Mollitiam Holdings Acquires BluRoc LLC from Platinum Equity

Mollitiam Holdings has acquired BluRoc LLC, a Northampton, Massachusetts-based provider of temporary and permanent access solutions for utility, pipeline and renewable infrastructure projects, from Platinum Equity. Financial terms were not disclosed; Mollitiam said the deal advances its strategy of investing in infrastructure construction and industrial services and plans to grow BluRoc by adding equipment, services and customers.

Hudson Hill Capital Acquires Majority Stake in Blue.cloud

Hudson Hill Capital made a majority equity investment in Tampa-based cloud digital transformation firm Blue.cloud at an enterprise value exceeding $100 million. The capital will be used to expand AI capabilities, pursue acquisitions, and scale the team as Blue.cloud builds on a 2021 run-rate of roughly $39 million and a global workforce of about 320 employees.

Infinite Blue Acquires Virtual Corporation, LLC

TransPerfect Acquires Blu Digital Group

3Cloud Acquires Polaris Solutions

3Cloud, a Microsoft Azure-focused services firm, acquired Polaris Solutions to expand its application modernization and DevOps capabilities and reinforce its position as the largest Azure pure-play services provider in the U.S. Polaris’ Azure development team will join 3Cloud’s Application Modernization & Development and DevOps practices; 3Cloud is PE-backed by Gryphon Investors, which completed a majority investment in 2020.
