Ecovyst to Acquire INEOS Calabrian Sulfur Dioxide and Sulfur Derivatives Business for $190 Million

Ecovyst Inc. signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Calabrian sulfur dioxide and related sulfur derivatives business from INEOS Enterprises for $190 million, subject to customary adjustments. The deal is expected to close by the end of Q2 2026 and is intended to expand Ecovyst’s sulfur-chemistry product and service portfolio, including sulfur dioxide, sodium bisulfite, sodium thiosulfate, and sodium metabisulfite.

Westlake Chemical Acquires Hexion's Epoxy Business

The transaction transfers Hexion's epoxy specialty resins, base epoxy resins and intermediates product lines to Westlake; Hexion will continue to operate its Adhesives and Versatic Acids and Derivatives product lines following the divestiture.
