Equifax Acquires Círculo de Crédito in Mexico for $750 Million Enterprise Value

Equifax has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Círculo de Crédito, Mexico’s fastest-growing credit bureau and credit information services company, for an enterprise value of $750 million. The deal would expand Equifax’s presence in Mexico and give Círculo de Crédito customers access to Equifax cloud-native capabilities and patented EFX.AI technology. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary conditions and regulatory approval.

TransUnion Acquires Sontiq for $638M

TransUnion has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Sontiq, a consumer identity protection company headquartered in Nottingham, Maryland, for $638 million. The deal (from portfolio owner The Wicks Group) expands TransUnion’s consumer identity and cyber protection offerings—Sontiq generated about $85 million of revenue in 2021 with an ~40% adjusted EBITDA margin and was acquired at ~19x FY2021 adjusted EBITDA; the transaction was expected to close in Q4 2021.
