The acquisition returns Nonni's to its Italian roots, strengthens Ferrero-related groups' presence in North America, and brings into the fold a Wexford, Pennsylvania-based artisanal biscotti and packaged-snacks manufacturer with ~350 employees and four plants.

The transaction, subject to closing conditions and expected to close in Q4 2023, expands Ferrara's geographic footprint into Brazil; financial terms were not disclosed.

Ferrero Group Acquires Wells Enterprises (Blue Bunny, Bomb Pop)

A Ferrero-related Belgian holding company (CTH) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Burton's Biscuit Company from the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board. Burton's—headquartered in St Albans with six UK manufacturing sites and about 2,000 employees—generated over £275 million of sales in the last 12 months; the buyer expects to enlarge its sweet biscuits offering by adding Burton's brands and production capacity.
