Northern Commerce, a digital transformation consultancy backed by Beringer Capital, has acquired Freedom Marketing, a Virginia-based digital asset management (DAM) and content supply chain consultancy, and Project 3 Consulting, a Wisconsin-based data and marketing technology consultancy specializing in analytics and customer data platforms (CDP). The add-on acquisitions expand Northern's capabilities across content supply chain, DAM, analytics and CDP implementations and deepen partnerships with technology providers including Adobe, Google, and Tealium as part of a broader North American growth strategy.

Apollo-Managed Funds Acquire Majority Stake in Freedom CNG

Apollo-managed funds acquired a majority interest in Freedom CNG, a Houston-based owner and operator of compressed natural gas (CNG) and renewable natural gas (RNG) fueling stations. The investment will support Freedom's organic and inorganic growth to expand RNG/CNG fueling infrastructure for transportation fleets, municipalities and other high-volume fuel users.

Kinder Morgan Acquires North American Natural Resources

Kinder Morgan, Inc. has closed the $135 million acquisition of North American Natural Resources, Inc. and its sister companies North American Biofuels, LLC and North American-Central, LLC, acquiring seven landfill gas-to-power facilities in Michigan and Kentucky. Kinder Morgan will evaluate converting up to four sites to renewable natural gas (RNG) with approximately $175 million of capital spend, expanding its RNG generation capacity and diversifying its renewables portfolio.

Cummins Acquires 50% Stake in Momentum Fuel Technologies from Rush Enterprises

Cummins Inc. has acquired a 50% equity interest in Momentum Fuel Technologies from Rush Enterprises, creating a joint venture to manufacture Cummins-branded compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel delivery systems for the North American commercial vehicle market. The partnership will combine Momentum's CNG system engineering and manufacturing with Cummins' powertrain expertise and leverage Rush Truck Centers and Cummins distributors for aftermarket support across a combined 250+ locations.

Chevron Acquires Equity Interest in American Natural Gas LLC (Beyond6) from Mercuria

Inc. closed its previously announced acquisition of an equity interest in American Natural Gas LLC (operator of the Beyond6 CNG fueling network), acquiring a network of about 60 compressed natural gas stations across the United States from Mercuria Energy Trading. The deal expands Chevron's alternative-fuels footprint and supports its strategy to grow lower-carbon and renewable natural gas distribution capabilities.

Basalt Infrastructure Partners Acquires Xpress Natural Gas

The deal — terms undisclosed and subject to customary closing conditions — will give XNG access to Basalt's capital and operational resources to support its growth across utility, commercial, industrial and virtual pipeline markets.
