Nexus Capital Management LP and HDT Global have acquired Aviation Ground Equipment Corp. (AGEC), a veteran-owned manufacturer and distributor of aviation ground support equipment. The deal was structured as a new entity within the HDT portfolio to expand HDT's aircraft ground power and thermal management capabilities for military and commercial aviation programs, including support for F-35 and B-21 programs.

H.I.G. Capital Acquires Segers Aero Corporation

Capital, through an affiliate, has completed the acquisition of Segers Aero Corporation, an FAA-certified provider of engine, accessory and propeller MRO services for C-130 and similar aircraft. H.I.G. will partner with Segers' existing management to invest in capacity and capabilities to support continued growth and expanded service offerings to military operators, OEMs and cargo carriers.

SMBC Aviation Capital Acquires Goshawk Management Ltd.

SMBC Aviation Capital completed the acquisition of Dublin-based aircraft lessor Goshawk Management Ltd., creating the second-largest global aircraft lessor by number of aircraft and the largest Japanese-owned lessor. The combined business operates a portfolio of over 700 owned and managed aircraft (with additional new-technology narrowbody orders) and is positioned to benefit from a sector recovery through enhanced scale and funding advantages.

GE Aerospace Acquires Northstar Aerospace from Wynnchurch Capital

Wynnchurch Capital has sold Northstar Aerospace, a Bedford Park, Illinois-based manufacturer of flight-critical and non-flight-critical aircraft parts, to GE Aerospace. Northstar produces complex components such as gears, housings, assemblies and shafts for helicopter transmission systems; Vedder Price provided legal counsel to Wynnchurch and Lincoln International and Moelis & Company served as financial advisors.

Tiger Infrastructure Partners Acquires International Aerospace Coatings and Eirtech Aviation Services from Vance Street Capital

Tiger Infrastructure Partners has acquired International Aerospace Coatings (IAC) and Eirtech Aviation Services (EAS) from Vance Street Capital. The transaction combines IAC's global aircraft coatings capability (headquartered in Shannon, Ireland) with EAS's engineering and asset management services (headquartered in Irvine, California) to create a leading aviation aftermarket platform; terms were not disclosed.

STS Aviation Services Acquires GT Engine Services

STS Aviation Services, a division of STS Aviation Group, has acquired UK-based engine MRO specialist GT Engine Services. The May 28, 2024 deal adds engine maintenance, repair and management capabilities to STS's existing airframe and materials services; founder and previous owner Greg Macleod will remain in a leadership role reporting to STS Europe management.
