American Event Services (AES) has acquired Riverview, Florida-based Canariis Corporation, a privately owned manufacturer of custom UL-listed packaged HVAC, plumbing and fire-protection systems. Canariis will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary under President Steven St. John (who retains a significant ownership stake); Tony Tauer has been named CEO of AES. The combined companies now operate four manufacturing locations totaling over 150,000 sq. ft. and about 165 employees, expanding AES's manufacturing capacity and distribution reach.
