Sapporo U.S.A. Acquires Stone Brewing

Sapporo U.S.A. has agreed to acquire Stone Brewing, combining Sapporo's U.S. business with one of America's largest craft brewers. The deal (expected to close in August 2022) gives Sapporo bi-coastal brewing capacity at Stone's Escondido, California and Richmond, Virginia breweries and lets Stone continue operating its taprooms and breweries under existing branding and management.

Navis (Cargotec) Acquires Cetus Labs (Octopi)

Navis, part of Cargotec, acquired US-based Cetus Labs, Inc., the developer of Octopi — a cloud-based terminal operating system (TOS) for small container and mixed-cargo terminals. The acquisition adds a lightweight, cloud TOS to Navis’s software portfolio to better serve smaller or remote terminals and expand Navis’s addressable market without materially affecting Cargotec’s 2019 financials.

Tacoma and Hoyt LLC Acquires Jackalope Brewing Company

Tacoma and Hoyt LLC, a Tennessee-based investment firm, has acquired Jackalope Brewing Company, a craft brewery and taproom in Nashville’s Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood. Steve Barone (CEO of Tacoma and Hoyt) will become CEO of Jackalope while founder Bailey Spaulding remains Chief Beer Officer and Steve Wright shifts to Chief Revenue Officer as the company pursues regional growth and expanded distribution across the Southeast.

Oji Holdings Acquires Walki from One Equity Partners

Oji Holdings Corporation has completed the acquisition of Walki Group Oy from private equity owner One Equity Partners. Walki, headquartered in Espoo, Finland, is a pan‑European manufacturer of sustainable packaging and engineered materials with 17 production facilities and more than 1,700 employees; OEP had owned Walki since July 2018 and grew revenue over 125% during its ownership while executing seven add‑on acquisitions.

American Industrial Partners Acquires AquaShip AS and Intership AS and Combines Them into Global Aqua Services Platform

American Industrial Partners (AIP) has become the majority and controlling shareholder of Norway-based AquaShip AS and Intership AS and will merge the two companies into a single global aquaculture service vessel operator. Talweg Capital co-invested in the combined company; Alchemy sold its stake in Intership. The combined business will operate a fleet of 39 vessels with nearly 700 employees and serve salmon farmers across Norway, Scotland, Ireland, Chile, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

The move strengthens Publicis Groupe UK's B2B and technology-focused marketing offering, expanding creative, strategic and commerce capabilities for enterprise clients.
