Port Jersey Logistics, a family-owned full-service 3PL based in Cranbury, New Jersey, has acquired TruckItNow Transportation of Wilsonville, Oregon. The deal expands Port Jersey/Continental Logistics' nationwide footprint and adds temperature-controlled (reefer/frozen) transportation, LTL pool capability, and related coordination/administration staff.

Maxwell Street partners Evan Harwood and Paul Loeb will join TIG's board to support the company's capability expansion and pursuit of organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

ShipX Acquires Princeton Logistics Group and TriStar Carriers

Hapag-Lloyd Acquires Stake in J M Baxi Ports & Logistics from Bain Capital Private Equity Affiliate

German shipping company Hapag-Lloyd has acquired the stake in Indian maritime logistics provider J M Baxi Ports & Logistics from a Bain Capital Private Equity affiliate. The sale, whose financial terms were not disclosed, transfers ownership following Bain's two-year investment that expanded J M Baxi's port capacity and logistics footprint across India. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.

Berkshire Partners Makes Strategic Investment in RJW Logistics Group

Boston-based private equity firm Berkshire Partners has made a strategic (majority) investment in RJW Logistics Group, a Woodridge, Illinois–based provider of retail logistics and consolidation services for consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands. RJW CEO Kevin Williamson and other management will remain significant investors, and prior investor Mason Wells will remain a minority holder; the deal is intended to support RJW's growth, innovation and geographic expansion.

Bluejay Capital Partners Acquires Best Warehousing & Transportation

Bluejay Capital Partners has completed its acquisition of Best Warehousing & Transportation Inc., a third-party logistics provider based in Atlanta with 30 locations across 15 states. The transaction was financed with participation from Argosy Private Equity, Southfield Mezzanine, Spring Capital Partners and Key Bank; BWT's CEO Winston McDonald Jr. retains a sizable ownership stake.
