Maxwell Street Capital Partners announced an investment in Port Jersey Logistics, a Cranbury, New Jersey-based provider of temperature-controlled and ambient warehousing and integrated supply chain services. Maxwell Street will partner with Port Jersey's senior management, join the company's board, and provide capital and strategic support to fund geographic expansion, new service lines and add-on acquisitions.

ShipX Acquires Princeton Logistics Group and TriStar Carriers

ShipX has acquired Princeton Logistics Group and its subsidiary TriStar Carriers to expand beyond final-mile parcel delivery into first- and middle-mile trucking and broader e-commerce transportation services across North America. The deal brings trucking, middle-mile capacity and local sortation capabilities into ShipX’s tech-enabled delivery platform to offer end-to-end e-commerce shipping solutions.

A&R Logistics, a portfolio company of Wind Point Partners, has acquired RJ's Transportation, a Port Allen, Louisiana-based provider of bulk liquid transportation and related trucking services. The add-on strengthens A&R's liquid chemical platform and expands its Gulf Coast geographic coverage while RJ's founder and president will remain involved in the combined business.

Transportation and Logistics Systems, Inc. (TLSS) entered into an agreement to acquire substantially all assets of GRC Trucking, Inc., a 30-year intermodal logistics and drayage provider based in Kearney, New Jersey. The asset purchase (to be paid in TLSS common stock) is intended to expand TLSS' intermodal, import/export and drayage capabilities and realize operating-synergies with its PrimeEFS and ShypDirect hubs in New Jersey.

BWT Logistics Acquires International Express Trucking

BWT Logistics, a Bluejay Capital portfolio company, has acquired International Express Trucking (IET), a regional 3PL in North Carolina. The add-on expands BWT’s contract logistics and warehousing footprint in the state; IET’s president Howard Shope will join BWT as Senior Vice President of Operations and retain a meaningful ownership stake. Bluejay Capital financed the transaction with participation from Argosy Private Equity, Southfield Mezzanine, Spring Capital Partners and KeyBank; terms were not disclosed.

PLS Logistics Services Acquires D&L Transport

PLS Logistics Services, a technology-driven third-party logistics provider based in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, has acquired D&L Transport, a freight brokerage headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas. D&L will operate as an independent subsidiary with Brian DeFrain remaining president, and PLS expects the transaction to increase its annual revenue run rate to $950 million (with a projected ~$1.2 billion in 2022).
