Flaviar Acquires Speakeasy Co.

Flaviar, Inc. has acquired Speakeasy Co. in a cash-and-stock deal to fold Speakeasy's agency, marketing and fulfillment capabilities into Flaviar Checkout and expand Flaviar's B2B/e-commerce enablement for beverage-alcohol brands. The combined business will give brand partners access to warehouse-based fulfillment, performance marketing, and Flaviar's data and ad products while preserving Speakeasy's team and client relationships.

E. & J. Gallo Winery Acquires Bev

The deal expands Gallo's portfolio into Bev's premium zero-sugar canned wines and aims to broaden the brand's consumer reach and distribution; terms were not disclosed and Peabody will remain involved with the brand.

Aurora Cannabis Acquires Controlling Interest in Bevo Farms

Aurora Cannabis acquired a 50.1% controlling stake in Bevo Agtech Inc., the parent of Bevo Farms Ltd., and will consolidate Bevo's operations. The deal (approx. $45M cash on closing plus contingent payments) gives Aurora access to Bevo's plant propagation expertise, while Bevo will acquire Aurora's Aurora Sky facility in Edmonton to expand production and geographic reach.

The deal is B2B’s ninth add-on since GenNx360’s October 2020 investment and is intended to expand B2B’s product, service and geographic reach for packaging customers across the U.S.

Gopuff Acquires Liquor Barn from Blue Equity

Gopuff has acquired Liquor Barn, a Kentucky-based chain of 23 beer, wine and liquor stores, from private equity firm Blue Equity. The deal gives Gopuff physical retail footprint and inventory infrastructure across Kentucky to accelerate its instant-delivery expansion and deepen its presence in Louisville, Lexington and other markets in the state.
