GTCR-Backed Ascent Sports Group Acquires LiveBarn for About $400M

Chicago private equity firm GTCR, via its newly formed Ascent Sports Group, has acquired Montreal-headquartered youth sports streaming platform LiveBarn in a deal reported at roughly $400 million. LiveBarn provides automated live and on-demand video plus analytics for youth and amateur sports across North America, primarily ice hockey.
