April 19, 2021
Handprint, the home and décor business unit of UFP Retail Solutions (a subsidiary of UFP Industries, Inc.), has acquired the operating assets of Walnut Hollow Farm, Inc., a Dodgeville, Wisconsin-based maker of basswood craft products and woodburning tools. Walnut Hollow reported approximately $11 million in 2020 sales; members of the Ladd family (including the president and CFO) will remain as consultants to support the transition. UFP said the acquisition expands its presence in the hobby/craft and home décor market and will enable cross-channel growth of Walnut Hollow's products.
