Heffernan Network Insurance Brokers, a subsidiary of Heffernan Insurance Brokers based in Walnut Creek, California, has acquired Maffei Insurance & Financial Services, a family-owned agency headquartered in Stockton, California. Founder Don Maffei and 12 team members joined Heffernan Network effective April 1, 2023; the deal is intended to provide Maffei with greater market access and resources to expand its commercial lines while preserving the agency as an autonomous subsidiary.
