Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation has completed its acquisition of Silverwood Theme Park and Boulder Beach Water Park from Silverwood, Inc. The 400-acre attraction will remain Silverwood, with the existing team and identity continuing through the 2026 season.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation completed its acquisition of Playa Hotels & Resorts N.V., an all-inclusive resort owner, operator and developer with properties in Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. The transaction expands Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection by adding 15 all-inclusive resorts, including brands already represented in Hyatt’s system (Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara) as well as additional resort properties.

Destination Pet Acquires Pet Palace Pet Boarding Resort

Destination Pet has acquired Pet Palace Pet Boarding Resort, a luxury pet care operator with 11 locations across Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina and Pennsylvania and more than 500 employees. The acquisition expands Destination Pet’s national pet resort and clinic network, adds a luxury resort brand, and enables wider rollout of Destination Pet’s connected care model and Yourgi app; Pet Palace founder Brian Hudock will remain as a strategic advisor.

Penske Media Corporation Acquires The American Pavilion

Penn National Gaming Acquires Operations of Hollywood Casino Perryville

Penn National Gaming completed the acquisition of the operations of Hollywood Casino Perryville from Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. for $31.1 million in cash and entered into a lease with GLPI for the facility real estate with annual rent of approximately $7.77 million. The deal, approved by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission, expands Penn National's regional gaming footprint and omni-channel sports betting capabilities in Maryland.

The Carlyle Group Acquires Atracciones Coney Island (Coney Park)

Global investment firm The Carlyle Group acquired 100% of Atracciones Coney Island SAC and its subsidiaries Divertrónica Medellín SAS and Yukids SpA from Grupo El Comercio and founders Rolando Giha, the Hoyos Family and Matias Allendes. The platform operates over 130 family entertainment centers across Peru, Colombia and Chile (under Coney Park, Coney Active, Happy City and Yukids brands) and Carlyle plans to support regional growth and partnerships with shopping mall operators.
