Citation Group, a UK-based provider of tech-enabled compliance and certification subscription solutions for SMEs, has welcomed a new investment from HarbourVest Partners. HarbourVest joins existing majority investors KKR and Hg to support Citation's international growth, AI product development and strategic acquisitions; financial terms were not disclosed.

Permira and Hg take co-controlling stakes in GGW Group

Permira announced in December 2023 that a Permira-backed vehicle agreed to acquire GGW Group, the Hamburg-based insurance brokerage and MGA platform. In April 2024 Hg completed a new investment from its Hg Saturn fund and will own a co-controlling stake alongside Permira; GGW operates more than 60 brokerages and MGAs and employs over 1,700 people as it scales across Germany and Europe.

Hg Makes Major Growth Investment in Hyperion Insurance Group

Hg has made a significant long-term equity investment in Hyperion Insurance Group, valuing the business at an enterprise value of about US$5 billion and providing up to $1.5 billion to fund selective acquisitions and investments in data and technology. Hg will join existing investors General Atlantic and CDPQ as a long-term partner while Hyperion's management and employees remain the largest shareholder group; the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.
