Fort Worth-based Higginbotham has acquired Houston-based independent insurance agency Iscential, adding a second Houston team and expanding its local presence. The deal brings Iscential's ~140 associates and risk-management, insurance and financial services capabilities into Higginbotham's employee-owned platform; Dowling Hales served as exclusive financial advisor to the sellers.

The Centennial leadership team (Mark Swanson, David Swanson, Doug Helzer and Tom Ratzlaff) will continue to operate in their Colorado and New Mexico locations as part of Gallagher's Western region retail property/casualty brokerage operations.
