HMC Capital Limited (ASX: HMC) has completed the acquisition of StratCap, LLC, a specialist investment management platform focused on mission-critical digital infrastructure assets. HMC said the purchase provides a foundation to establish a large-scale digital infrastructure platform and accelerate StratCap's growth; Goldman Sachs acted as exclusive financial advisor to StratCap.

Mitsubishi HC Capital Acquires CAI International

CAI International agreed to be acquired by Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc. (MHC) in an all-cash transaction valued at $1.1 billion equity value ($2.9 billion enterprise value), paying $56.00 per share to CAI shareholders. CAI stockholders approved the merger, and the deal is expected to close in late Q3 or early Q4 2021, after customary closing conditions including a required “migration” of certain subsidiaries to the United States.

Macquarie (MKIF) Acquires Hanam Data Centre in South Korea

Macquarie Asset Management, via the listed Macquarie Korea Infrastructure Fund (MKIF), has agreed to acquire the Hanam Data Centre (Hanam IDC) in the Greater Seoul Area. The agreed sale price is KRW734 billion (≈US$530m), with a total transaction size of KRW918 billion (≈US$663m) including transaction costs and remaining MEP works; LG CNS has pre-leased the entire facility and committed to ~99% of the target IT load.
