Trinity Investors partnered with Sancus Capital Group to acquire Nano Hearing Aids, a direct-to-consumer designer and online retailer of affordable hearing aids, in February 2021. Nano, founded in 2017 and operating primarily via e-commerce with nationwide U.S. shipping, will operate under the new private owners to expand its DTC/OTC hearing-aid business.

Altaris Capital Partners Acquires Intricon Corporation

Altaris Capital Partners completed the acquisition of Intricon Corporation, taking the NASDAQ-listed micromedical contract developer and manufacturer private for $24.25 per share (approximately $241 million fully diluted). The deal will support Intricon’s continued development and scaling of miniature and micromedical components, sub-assemblies and devices for OEM customers across multiple production facilities in the United States and Asia.

Impilo Acquires Oticon Medical from Demant

Integra LifeSciences Acquires Acclarent, Inc.

Hong Tong Technology Acquires Initio's Encryption Division

Taipei-based Hong Tong Technology announced it acquired Initio's entire encryption storage product line in September 2024, including controller ICs with embedded crypto engines, firmware, ASICs, technical support and IP. The acquisition (announced May 2025) secures Initio's encryption IP and manufacturing in Taiwan and allows Hong Tong to integrate encryption capabilities into its personal digital management and consumer electronics offerings.

Amplifon to Acquire GN Store Nord’s Hearing Business

Amplifon entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the hearing business of GN Store Nord A/S in a deal valued at DKK 17.0 billion (about $2.6 billion) on a cash-free and debt-free basis. The transaction is expected to create a vertically integrated global leader in audiology by combining Amplifon’s retail network with GN’s hearing technology and manufacturing capabilities, with expected closing by the end of 2026 subject to regulatory approvals and a required carve-out demerger.
