Okika Devices Acquires Anadigm

Synopsys Acquires Ansys in $35 Billion Deal

Synopsys entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Ansys, combining Synopsys’ semiconductor EDA capabilities with Ansys’ simulation and analysis portfolio. Under the terms, each Coherent share was exchanged for $220.00 in cash and 0.91 shares of II-VI common stock, with the deal expected to close in Q4 2021 and subject to customary approvals. II-VI later announced the acquisition completed, forming a global leader in materials, networking, and lasers.

AmpliTech Group Acquires Spectrum Semiconductor Materials

(NASDAQ: AMPG) has executed a definitive agreement to acquire the assets and operations of Spectrum Semiconductor Materials, Inc., a San Jose–based authorized distributor of semiconductor components. The deal (approximately $8.0M cash plus $1.5M escrow and restricted shares) nearly triples AmpliTech's revenue base, adds a global distribution platform and a record combined order backlog of $11.4M, and is intended to accelerate commercialization of AmpliTech's MMIC chip solutions.

Marvell Technology Acquires Inphi Corporation

Marvell Technology Group Ltd. agreed to acquire Inphi Corporation in a cash-and-stock transaction that will combine Marvell's storage, networking and processor portfolio with Inphi's high-speed electro-optics interconnect platform. The deal positions the combined company to lead in cloud data center and 5G infrastructure markets, will domicile the combined company in the United States, and is expected to deliver $125 million of annual run-rate synergies within 18 months.
