IK Partners' IK Small Cap III Fund has signed an agreement to invest in Schwingshandl automation technology GmbH, a Holzhausen (near Linz), Austria-based provider of customised intralogistics automation solutions. The founders, Thomas Schwingshandl and Enrico Larcher, will retain a significant minority stake and Schwingshandl will pursue continued investment in people, broadened service offerings and international expansion with IK's support.

EQT Acquires Mabtech from IK Partners and Mérieux Equity Partners

EQT, via its newly launched EQT Healthcare Growth Strategy, is acquiring Swedish immunoassay specialist Mabtech AB from IK Partners and Mérieux Equity Partners. Mabtech, a developer and manufacturer of antibodies, kits and readers used in vaccine, infectious disease and oncology research, will be supported by EQT to expand its product portfolio and accelerate geographic growth, particularly in the US. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and financial terms were not disclosed.

IK Partners Invests in STEIN HGS

IK Partners' Small Cap III Fund has signed an agreement to invest in STEIN HGS GmbH, a Germany-based B2B e-commerce specialist for barrier technology, construction site and facility management supplies. The stake is being acquired from Lennertz & Co. and founder Bodo Stein, both of whom will reinvest alongside IK to support growth, product range expansion and new customer acquisition.

IK Investment Partners Acquires Mabtech

IK Investment Partners’ IK Small Cap II Fund has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Mabtech AB, a Stockholm-based specialist in immune monitoring and developer of monoclonal antibodies, ELISpot/FluoroSpot kits and the IRIS reader. Mérieux Equity Partners takes a minority stake alongside IK, founders and management remain invested, and EQT Credit provided senior secured (unitranche) financing to support the transaction.

E.ON Acquires Coromatic from EQT

E.ON has agreed to acquire Coromatic Group from EQT Expansion Capital II, acquiring a Nordic leader in critical facility services that secures power and data communication for data centers, hospitals, airports and other mission-critical sites. The acquisition expands E.ON’s energy solutions capabilities and geographic footprint in the Nordics; the deal was announced in May 2019 and expected to close in late Q2 or Q3 2019 subject to regulatory approvals.
