Azelis Group NV has acquired 100% of Azienda Chimica e Farmaceutica (ACEF), a Piacenza-based distributor of specialty raw materials and ingredients for the cosmetic, nutraceutical, galenic and pharmaceutical markets. The acquisition strengthens Azelis's footprint in Italy, expands its product portfolio and technical capabilities, and brings ACEF's laboratories and GMP-compliant facilities into Azelis's network.

Adragos Pharma Acquires Baccinex

Adragos Pharma, a Munich-headquartered CDMO, has acquired Baccinex, a Swiss sterile fill-finish specialist based in Courroux, Jura. The acquisition adds a US FDA- and EU-GMP-certified 6,200 m² facility and over 110 sterile fill-finish experts to Adragos' global manufacturing network, enhancing its clinical and commercial sterile manufacturing capabilities.

LSC Environmental Products Acquires Benzaco Scientific, Inc.

Ancor Capital Partners portfolio company LSC Environmental Products, LLC has acquired Benzaco Scientific, Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based manufacturer of natural odor-control compounds and delivery systems. The deal expands LSC's solutions portfolio in the solid waste, oil & gas and remediation markets, brings Benzaco's team into LSC's organization, and retains Benzaco's product lines, including the Odor-Armor family; terms were not disclosed.

SK Capital Partners Acquires Majority Stake in Lacerta Group

Funds advised by SK Capital Partners have acquired a majority interest in Lacerta Group, a Mansfield, Massachusetts-based manufacturer of thermoformed PET packaging solutions. The investment will support Lacerta's continued growth and scaling of its in-house manufacturing capabilities while founders Ali and Mory Lotfi retain a significant ownership stake.

Nicox S.A. Acquires Aciex Therapeutics, Inc.

Nicox S.A. agreed to acquire Aciex Therapeutics, Inc., a U.S.-based ophthalmic development company, in a share-exchange deal that will transfer 100% of Aciex to Nicox. The transaction (approved by Nicox shareholders on October 22, 2014) issues 20,627,024 new Nicox shares for Aciex equity and includes contingent value rights giving up to $55 million in potential additional consideration tied to FDA approvals, and is intended to broaden Nicox's ophthalmic development pipeline.
