IonQ Acquires Controlling Stake in ID Quantique

IonQ has completed the acquisition of a controlling stake in ID Quantique (IDQ), adding IDQ's quantum key distribution (QKD) systems, quantum random number generators (QRNGs) and single-photon detectors to its product portfolio. The deal expands IonQ's quantum networking and secure-communications capabilities, brings nearly 300 granted and pending patents to IonQ's IP estate, and strengthens its position in national and international quantum communications initiatives.

Keysight Technologies Acquires Quantum Benchmark

Keysight Technologies acquired Quantum Benchmark, a Kitchener, Ontario–based developer of error diagnostics, suppression, and performance validation software for quantum computing. The purchase expands Keysight's quantum portfolio by adding capabilities to characterize and improve qubit performance for hardware makers and end-users, and Quantum Benchmark had been privately backed by VanEdge Capital and Quantonation.

Berkshire Partners and TA Associates Lead Growth Investment in PDQ

Quadrant Private Equity’s $530 million second growth fund has invested in three New Zealand cybersecurity businesses — Quantum Security Services, ZX Security and Helix Security Services — which provide GRC, penetration testing, cloud security and cyber advisory services. The trio serves over 200 enterprise and government customers and has seen combined revenue grow more than 35% over the past three years; the firms have been brought together as part of a broader consolidation in the New Zealand cybersecurity market.
