Opta Group LP, a portfolio company of Speyside Equity Advisers, acquired Performix Metallurgical Additives, LLC effective April 1, 2024. Performix, which operates plants in Warren, Ohio and East Chicago, Indiana, supplies metallurgical additives to the steel and foundry industries; the acquisition expands Opta's performance materials and specialty chemicals platform and strengthens its molten solutions and supply chain capabilities.

Macfarlane Group Acquires Polyformes Limited

Macfarlane Group PLC has acquired 100% of Polyformes Limited for up to £11.5 million in cash (including an earn-out of up to £4.8 million over two years). Polyformes, a Leighton Buzzard–based foam converter with about 60 employees, generated £9.3 million of revenue and approximately £1.5 million of EBITDA for year ended 31 December 2023; the deal is intended to expand Macfarlane's protective packaging capabilities and accelerate its buy-and-build strategy.
