Alpine Investors Partners with Jackson Mechanical to Launch Orion Group

Alpine Investors has partnered with Jackson Mechanical Service Inc., a commercial and industrial HVACR and boiler services provider based in Oklahoma City, to form Orion Group, a new commercial facility services platform. Jackson will serve as the foundation of Orion; Alpine plans to invest from its recent fund to roll up family-owned commercial HVACR and plumbing businesses nationwide. Terms were not disclosed; Generational Equity served as Jackson's advisor.

A&Z Mechanical provides HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance services for new single-family construction as well as commercial and residential customers.

Sound Partners and Calico Group have jointly acquired Tradewinds Mechanical, LLC, a Las Vegas–based commercial HVAC‑R services company, and have combined it with acquisitions of S&R Air Conditioning (Los Angeles) and Climate Specialists (Austin) to form The Mechanical Group. The investors plan to grow a Southwest HVAC‑R platform, retain existing operating teams (with Steven Brayet serving as President and Matt Shaw as COO), and continue expanding service offerings; financial terms were not disclosed.

SkyKnight Capital has launched FirstCall Mechanical Group, a commercial services platform led by Founder and CEO Evan Eachus and headquartered in Austin, Texas. SkyKnight and FirstCall brought four regional operations into the platform — STR Mechanical, Technical Services (Virginia), TimCo Heating and Air, and the services assets of JAX Refrigeration — creating a Southeast-focused provider of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing services with roughly 150 employees.

Aterian Investment Partners, through its joint venture Craft Work Capital Partners and platform Rogers Mechanical Contractors, partnered with and completed an add-on acquisition of Coastal Mechanical Services, a Melbourne, Florida-based HVAC/mechanical and plumbing contractor. The deal expands the Rogers platform's presence in Florida and adds Coastal's capabilities across healthcare, education and aerospace & defense end markets.
