KKR Partners With HMC Capital to Invest in HMC Energy Platform (to Be Rebranded as Illuma Energy)

HMC Capital announced it has received ACCC clearance and FIRB approval for its strategic partnership with KKR in the HMC Energy Platform. Financial close is expected on or around 30 June 2026, with KKR to invest up to $603 million and HMC’s invested capital reduced to approximately $190 million; the platform will be rebranded as Illuma Energy after integration of existing assets is complete.
