Kraken has acquired Breakout, an evaluation-based crypto proprietary trading platform, to integrate prop trading into Kraken's product suite and give qualified traders access to institutional capital. The acquisition (effective September 1, 2025) will combine Breakout's funded-trader program—where traders can access up to $100,000 per account (up to $200,000 aggregate) and keep up to 90% of profits—with Kraken's global infrastructure and market access.
