DSV Panalpina Acquires Agility's Global Integrated Logistics (GIL)

DSV Panalpina A/S will acquire Agility’s Global Integrated Logistics (GIL) business in an all‑share transaction that will make Agility an ~8% shareholder of DSV. The deal values GIL at about USD 4.1 billion and is expected to close in Q3 2021, combining networks to create a top‑three global freight forwarder and materially expanding DSV’s presence in APAC and the Middle East.

Vanderlande to Acquire Siemens Logistics from Siemens

Dutch logistics automation specialist Vanderlande has signed an agreement to acquire Siemens Logistics from German technology company Siemens. The deal — approved by the management and supervisory boards (including Vanderlande’s parent Toyota Industries Corporation) and subject to regulatory approvals — will expand Vanderlande’s airport baggage, cargo handling and digital solutions capabilities and is expected to close next year.

Pilot Freight Services, a PE-backed global transportation and logistics provider, has acquired DSI Logistics, a Brea, California-based last-mile home delivery and white-glove installation specialist. The acquisition, which closed March 31, 2021, expands Pilot's Pilot Last Mile Home capabilities and makes Pilot one of the largest last-mile providers for big and bulky goods in the United States; Argosy Private Equity and minority investor Headhaul Capital Partners exited their investment in DSI.

AIT Worldwide Logistics has acquired Global Transport Solutions Group (GTS), a Netherlands-headquartered specialist in time-critical marine spare parts logistics. The deal brings GTS’ more than 600 teammates across 16 locations and nine consolidation hubs into AIT’s global network, adding marine spare-parts capabilities, warehouse capacity and new geographic presence in Greece, Japan and the Nordics; terms were not disclosed.
