Blue Point Capital Partners and its BPCP IV portfolio company Brimar Industries, alongside existing investor Brook Park Holdings, have acquired Crowd Control Warehouse (CCW), a Chicago-based designer and e-commerce distributor of crowd-control, traffic and safety products. The deal is an add-on to Brimar’s safety products platform and is intended to expand Brimar’s digital-first distribution capabilities and product offering across government, events and construction end markets.

Transtar Holding Company, a portfolio company backed by Blue Point Capital Partners, has acquired C&M Auto Parts, a family-owned wholesale supplier of truck and automotive parts based in Trenton, New Jersey. The add-on expands Transtar's footprint and capabilities in the professional/general automotive repair aftermarket, with C&M founder Glenn Morreale joining Transtar's executive leadership team.

The Universal Group (CAI Portfolio) Acquires Advanced Traffic Control (Auburn, WA)

The Universal Group, a CAI Capital Partners portfolio company, has acquired Advanced Traffic Control (ATC), a traffic control services provider based in Auburn, Washington. CAI and co-investors BDC Capital, Roynat Equity Partners and Frind Enterprises backed the transaction as equity co-investors; debt financing was provided by Bank of Montreal, CIBC and Scotiabank. This marks Universal's first U.S. acquisition as part of a contiguous Pacific Northwest expansion, and ATC's founders will remain in leadership and as shareholders.

Atar Capital Acquires Universal Lighting Technologies and Douglas Lighting Controls from Panasonic Corporation

Atar Capital has completed the acquisition of Universal Lighting Technologies and Douglas Lighting Controls from Panasonic Corporation and will combine the businesses under the name Universal Douglas Lighting Americas, Inc. The transaction brings together LED lighting manufacturing and advanced lighting control capabilities to create an integrated commercial lighting platform focused on connected lighting and IoT-enabled solutions; financial terms were not disclosed.

Blue Point-Backed Transtar Acquires Pro Form Products

Transtar Holding Company, a Blue Point Capital Partners portfolio company, has acquired Pro Form Products, an Ontario-based manufacturer of refinishing and repair products for automotive, aviation, industrial and marine applications. Pro Form will operate as a subsidiary of Transtar Autobody Technologies as the acquisition expands Transtar's product line, geographic coverage across the U.S. and Canada, and entry into new end-markets.
