Applied Technical Services (Odyssey Portfolio) Acquires Process Instruments, Instrumentation Technical Services and Accu-Chek

Odyssey Investment Partners portfolio company Applied Technical Services (ATS) completed three add-on acquisitions—Process Instruments LLC, Instrumentation Technical Services LLC, and Accu-Chek—to expand ATS' metrology, calibration and dimensional inspection capabilities across regulated end markets. The deals strengthen ATS' Testing, Inspection and Certification & Compliance (TICC) service lines and expand its footprint in life sciences, food, medical and aerospace markets as part of continued roll-up activity (22 acquisitions since Odyssey's investment).

SGS SA Acquires Applied Technical Services from Odyssey Investment Partners

Swiss testing, inspection and certification firm SGS SA completed the acquisition of Applied Technical Services, LLC from Odyssey Investment Partners, LLC and other selling shareholders. The transaction, announced July 1, 2025 and completed January 13, 2026, is valued at roughly $1.32 billion and was financed via cash, debt and a small equity consideration to certain sellers and key employees.

Creation Technologies acquired Applied Technical Services (ATS) on May 5, 2020 to expand its manufacturing footprint in the Pacific Northwest and Mexico and to broaden capabilities in Aerospace & Defense, Medical, and Tech Industrial markets. ATS is a privately held EMS provider with ~500 employees and facilities in Everett, Washington and Hermosillo, Mexico; owner and CEO George Hamilton is named in the announcement.

Applied Technical Services Acquires Amphion Analytical Engineering

Applied Technical Services (ATS) has purchased substantially all of the assets of Amphion Analytical Engineering, P.A., a Charlotte-based engineering and analytical services firm. The acquisition adds API certifications, additional licensed Professional Engineers and mechanical integrity capabilities to ATS, and expands ATS's presence in the tire manufacturing, chemical, and pharmaceutical end markets; the new team will be led by Mark Ellis.

Technical Safety Services Acquires Atlantic Technical Systems, Inc.

Technical Safety Services, LLC (TSS), operating under Technical Solutions Holdings, Inc., has acquired Atlantic Technical Systems, Inc. (ATS), a cleanroom testing and certification services business based in Annapolis, Maryland. The acquisition expands TSS/TSH’s service capabilities and strengthens its national footprint in the northeastern United States, while ATS customers will gain access to a broader suite of testing, certification and calibration services.

Aevi Capital and Sage Capital Partners Acquire ATS Scientific Inc.

Ontario-based investment group Aevi Capital, together with Sage Capital Partners, has acquired ATS Scientific Inc., a Canadian distributor and servicer of analytical instrumentation and laboratory equipment. Aevi Capital's principal Aleks Sobot will become CEO while the existing management team remains involved as the company pursues growth and expansion across Canada.
