Churchill Downs Incorporated Acquires Exacta Systems

Churchill Downs Incorporated announced a definitive agreement to acquire Exacta Systems, a provider of historical horse racing (HHR) technology, for $250 million in cash. The buyers plan to continue operations at the existing sites while developing a large-scale permanent historical horse racing (HHR) facility in Nashua, targeted to open in late 2024.

Clairvest invested US$71 million for a majority interest (CVG’s share US$19 million); the transaction represents a platform investment in the gaming sector and follows the sale by the Rickman family.
