Leggett & Platt Acquires Pegasus Manufacturing

Leggett & Platt Incorporated has acquired Pegasus Manufacturing, Inc., a Middletown, Connecticut-based aerospace manufacturer that produces fabricated tubes, pipe assemblies, precision-machined parts and gears for commercial and military aircraft engines and land-based turbines. Terms were not disclosed; Carter Morse & Mathias served as financial advisor to Leggett & Platt. The acquisition expands Leggett & Platt's Aerospace Products Group capabilities and strengthens its product and market presence in aerospace components.

Leap Partners completed add-on acquisitions of three HVAC companies — Comfort Design (Kentucky), Premier Indoor Comfort Systems (Georgia and North Carolina), and Aire Solutions (Missouri) — expanding its Southeast footprint. The former owners (Chris Hagerman, Steve Samson and Tim Funke) will remain with their teams as the businesses operate under Leap Partners’ portfolio to grow HVAC, plumbing and electrical service capabilities across the region.

Promus Equity Partners Acquires Dr. Comfort from Enovis Corporation

Promus Equity Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm, completed its acquisition of Dr. Comfort from Enovis Corporation on October 7, 2025. Promus will operate Dr. Comfort as an independent business and partner with management — including newly appointed CEO Kunal Nandy — to invest in product innovation and strengthen the company's position in therapeutic diabetic footwear.

Altor Solutions Acquires Foam Concepts

Altor Solutions, a Compass Diversified-backed packaging and componentry platform, acquired Foam Concepts, Inc., a Uxbridge, Massachusetts manufacturer of expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam products. The acquisition expands Altor's manufacturing footprint in the Northeast and strengthens its capabilities in protective and cold-chain packaging as part of a broader consolidation strategy.

Tempur Sealy (Somnigroup) Acquires Mattress Firm

Tempur Sealy International, Inc. signed a definitive agreement to acquire Mattress Firm, the U.S.'s largest mattress specialty retailer, in a transaction first announced at an approximate $4.0 billion enterprise value and completed in February 2025 with a reported total purchase price of roughly $5.0 billion. The deal was funded with approximately $2.7 billion of cash and the issuance of 34.2 million Tempur Sealy shares; following closing Tempur Sealy renamed itself Somnigroup International and will operate Mattress Firm as a decentralized business unit while divesting a portion of retail locations and the Sleep Outfitters business to MW SO Holdings (Mattress Warehouse).

Foam Fabricators Acquires Substantially All Assets of Polyfoam Corp.

Foam Fabricators, a Compass Diversified Holdings-backed packaging platform, has acquired substantially all of the assets of Massachusetts-based Polyfoam Corp., expanding Foam Fabricators' protective and temperature-sensitive packaging capabilities and geographic footprint. The deal adds Polyfoam's cold-chain and injection-molded plastic capabilities and enables cross-selling to national customers while Foam Fabricators also announced a partnership with Rational Packaging and commercialization of a biodegradable EPS product.
